Indonesia is a vast country and, to tell the truth, it`s not an easy task to determine suitable place for holding such an important event like this out of so many strategic and beautiful cities in the country. However, as joint hosts, we agree that Bandung is more than suitable for the meeting. This is the place where the first Asian African Conference was once held in 1955.

On behalf of Indonesia Corporation I, II, III, and IV, allow me to extend our sincere and warm welcome for all of the participants in the 10th IAPH Asia-Oceania Meeting and Port Forum, 3-5 February 2009 in Bandung.

We undertake a close coordination with IAPH Secretariat General to offer the participants with qualified speakers from our region to make sure that every one who takes part in this meeting will spend his/her time for the best result. Apart from that, rest assures that the participant will have time to hold back and feel the exotic of Bandung.
